Turning Back The Clock On Race

Two questions too ask: What is a colorblind society? Are we there yet? The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the Louisville, KY and Seattle, WA cases that “race” alone can not be a factor to bring about diversity and racial balance in public schools.

A colorblind society is easier said than done. Race is woven into the fabric of our diverse cultures something that we as a people ought to celebrate providing that we can overcome our biases and prejudices.

In the founding of this country, governmental policies established the classifications of race for social-economic and to a lesser extend political circumstance. Most documents, forms and identifications used were/are a function of government control. The government bodies can eliminate this check and balance if it so choose; however there lie the problems. How does the government for statistical accountability provide for the welfare, needs, and services of its citizenry?

America is a nation of immigrants and for that fact made us a better country. So the answer to the two questions is NO.
