Gitmo

Gitmo should be close as schedule. The detainee’s problem at Gitmo is of our making specifically the Bush’s Administration. The real problems begin when the detainees were moved from the battlefield or wherever. Once the detainees are taken into captivity the law of war and U.S Constitution take precedence. The remaining detainee should be charge, tried or release to their country or back to the battlefield, if possible, except for the dozen of so detainees who would be held indefinitely. That is itself a problem. What the President is attempting to do resolve the detainees situation within the legal system framework, however, politics stands in his way. The fears are that politicians worry about their reelection possibilities. The President is doing the right thing legally and morally in this matter. I recalled the interment of Japanese-Americans during WWII. We should learn from past history. You can’t keep human being in captivities without charges forever. If we go down that road, we’ll be no better than the Russia gulag or any fascist of the past.
