Bad Law...Bad Politics

Matthew 12:25: “a house divided against itself cannot stand” said, President Abraham Lincoln. This is the sad state of affair of our country today unfortunately. America will become a divided nation, if we do not get our house in order with comprehensive immigration reform. The President and Congress are constitutionally obligated to provide for the health and welfare of the nation as elective office holders of the United States. America is not some medieval wicket country, which treats people within its borders as undesirables whichever way they may have reached this land. Can you walk in the shoes of a migrant? Migration is a natural phenomenon instinct of humankind yearning to be free so let them enjoy in the bountiful of God resources. It is immoral, irresponsible and ungodly to treat any groups of people with disdain because of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or status by laws or policies in ways before mention by government’s entity state or federal.

One can assume that reasonable people would make rational decisions; however, the Arizona state law SB-1070 is irrational regardless of its good intentions to raise the seriousness of immigration. Nebraskans are not immune the criticism either i.e. the Fremont ordinance against undocumented workers who resides there. The underlining issue is political power forth-with offending politicians held accountable. Alienating Americans of Spanish decent will cause a demographic shift in political power never before seen in this country by, Latinos, citizens or non-citizens. Concern citizens must legally organize, protest, and challenge this law by any mean possible all the way to United States Supreme Court.
