Being right is not always popular

Reincardination of history: Were the American people ready for a Barack Obama? In my opinion, Obama is far beyond his time in history. He has set an example for future presidents but others may different with my opinion. Nevertheless, the voters will have their say in his four or eight year’s term as a successful presidency or not. He will rise or fall on his faith and the vote of the American people. President Obama made one miscalculation his belief that he could bring respect and honesty to a political system which has none. I hope that President Obama does not; but maybe, he will reach a LBJ moment. However, history will not let him do this:

“With America's sons in the fields far away, with America's future under challenge right here at home, with our hopes and the world's hopes for peace in the balance every day, I do not believe that I should devote an hour or a day of my time to any personal partisan causes or to any duties other than the awesome duties of this office--the Presidency of your country.
Accordingly, I shall not seek, and I will not accept, the nomination of my party for another term as your President.”

(President Lyndon B. Johnson address to the Nation, March 31, 1968)

So,what a coincidental LBJ’s speech was then and how appropriate it will be in 2012. In light of President Obama’s conundrum regarding the Islamic community center debate, he has no choice but to support the Constitution and the principals of the First Amendment.
