March On Washington, 5oth Years Ago: Where was you?

As a Washingtonian, i was in the military and home on leave.  On the morning of August 28, 1963, I've decided to leave Washington by Greyhound, because I was worry about the large crowds, and therefor, I would not be able to leave by bus to New York.  I arrive in Newburgh later that evening and was able to see bit and pieces of the speeches that day, however, over the years, I have been a advocate follower of history.  Today and on August 28, 2013, let us commemorate  the past and present and continue to march forward.  Let us not return 25 or 50 years from now and witness the slow paste of progress.  Although, we have made progress in electing the first black president of the United States, Barack Obama; we have a long way to go to bring economic, social, and political equality for all.
