Sport's Dilemma Solution For All
The Washington Redskins football team is brawl in a controversy name which is consider an offense slur by most Native-Americans and the like. We are a nation of immigrants which is uniquely America. It is time to recognize our uniqueness and correct the wrongs that causes any among us discomfort. Native-Americans are the first Americans to grace this land and perhaps the most disadvantage ethnic group in this country because of the tragedy of history.
There is a simple solution that may satisfy sports teams in question and benefits Native-Americans. All sport teams: Professional footballs, baseballs and Class A colleges should donate $1 from each ticket sold in perpetuity to a newly created fund or foundation with the primary mission to eliminate poverty on Indians reservations and the social conditions such as alcoholism, job and educational opportunities that contributes to their abuse. This is a win-win for sports and Native-Americans too. Washington Redskins owner can keep his team name (enhance the skin tone on uniforms), fill the seats, and do some good. Finally ask yourself: What's in a name? Everything!
