Law Enforcement On Trial

My comments are not about Michael Brown’s shooting, but what will follow.  As I and the world watch the situation unfold in Ferguson, MO; there are many more questions then answers.  Consequently, we need a conversation about law enforcement abuse, behavior and training.  This animosity express by some police officers are mostly white officers.  Their mindset is us and them. Black parents have to tell their sons literally from birth to act a certain way when confronted with policemen.  I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND! WHY!  Maybe it’s a culture or something else.  Does black officers demonstrate the same animosity against whites or other Afro-Americans?  Personally, I have not seen or heard of any incident(s) of this nature, however, I maybe prove wrong.

The eyewitnesses report of the event are compelling and consistent.  Darren Wilson’s guilt, the officer who shot Mr. Brown, will be determine by a court of law hopefully.   Afterward we should have a broader conversation about law enforcement and their duties to protect and serve the community.  There are more Ferguson's out there in a township near you.

One last thought, Michael Brown is an unknown quantity in a positive sense.  This is now a movement for change.  RIP
