"A Republic, If You Can Keep It"

Benjamin Franklin was asked by a group of citizens. What sort of government had you created. "A republic, if you can keep it."  The United States Constitutions is the cornerstone and bedrock of our democracy.   Its noble principals were composed through a prism of biases by and for a very few selected group of white Europeans excluding other sub groups i.e. native American and Africans (slaves).  Conservatives has interpreted the Constitution as strict constructionist. The Constitution have been amended many times from it adoption.   I’ve viewed it as a living testament:  The Constitution and Declaration of Independence is America’s most important documents and a part of our heritage and history; is the basic of our laws, freedom and democracy. The Constitution is being challenge now in the courts, and by Congress.

Unfortunately, we have a divided country.  The Trump’s administration has failed in its ability to govern effectiveness with only principals are to stack the courts, states legislatures, and pass laws determent to minorities' rights.  The Republican Party does not exist co-optic by Trump's loyalist. The country is going through a transformation and it is imparity upon ALL  people to vote and take back their country.
