Covid 19...
As a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service, I have a solution to the distribution and inoculation of Covid-19 vaccines. Letters carriers will deliver a registration form to each mailbox on his/her route and request the form be returned 24 - 72 hours to their letter carrier. Post offices (PO) do mass deliveries each and every day. Postal facilities have limited numbers of personnel after 10AM; inoculation clinics areas can be accessible within the PO. Residents will get their vaccines at their local PO by zip code; tracking and follow ups are easy, fast and efficient. If the vaccines are there can inoculate one million per day. The details can be worked out depending upon the distribution, capacity, storage capability, etc. Since the postal facilities are federal property coordination with the states department of health. (It must be nationwide.) Now we have inoculated less than three millions people and 10 millions plus doses sitting in warehouses. It would take 10 years to get herd immunity at this rate and perhaps more people die from Covid 19 than save. My words may fall on deft ears, but it is time for a well coordinated federalized plan. We can do this!
