French Economist Difference Theory
Open letter to Chip Maxwell, KFAB Morning Radio:
“Here we go again:” The infamy words of your favorite conservative icon Ronald Reagan. I’d listen (not all) to you and your callers wallow deeper and deeper in your conservative philosophy dogma. I am speaking of the French economist which you open your program with. I do not doubt the wisdom of this French economist but your leap to current economic conditions. We don’t live in the 19th Century and part of the 20th Century with all of its dark history which impacted many lives...thank to the leap of faith and great men that your views of history did not prevail. White Anglo-Saxon Europeans, Judo-Christians, believe that they are God chosen people; who believe that they are preordain to rule over the masses which is a false myth. No mortal men who ever live can predict the future with certainty. This conservative ideology rant will one day do great harm to this country because it does not allow for other thoughts. Can you explain the isms as you define them? I have an open mind nor for or against any social or economic system. Capitalism, socialism, communism, etc., are all problematic in and of itself. If 4% or 5% of individuals holds 95% of a country wealth, you have a hierarchy. As we speak, the strident that we see in the Middle East and other places are signs of things to come. It is not rooted in conservative ideology or American principles. It is a challenge against the have and has not. When the dust clears, these bastardize child nations born out of chaos will not be dominated or influence by the United States because they know from past history.
What irk me most of all is the conservative attempts to tight 19th Century economic theory to the country economic woes to President Obama’s policies. If you don’t want social security, health care or so-call ObamaCare, Medicare, Medicaid or whatever, you have the right and duty to opt out. Show your guts! Don’t say you are against all of these social programs except when it comes to me. Remember, the hole we find ourselves was not dug in the two year the president has been in office. Let’s be fair! The economy is trending upward. Unemployment is at 8.9 percent. Wall Street is doing better than expected. Republicans cannot win the White House with positive news so attack Obama on all fronts.
Economic power has shifted. A new world order in Asians counties (I hate this term) is emerging, because the United States is behind in education, innovation, motivation, and maybe one day our military powerless.
Finally, if ancient history is a predictor of the future than all great power will end over time.
