The Color of Justice...
There are currently two trials going on: Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, WI; William Bryan and Gregory and Travis McMichael (father and son) in Brunswick Ga. I have doubts about the trials judge's demeanor in the courtroom with the Rittenhouse's case. Nevertheless, he was correct on the law. I am not a lawyer. These cases in context illustrates white privilege to the environment in which we find ourselves; and, should be case studied in law school. There are blacks sitting on death row now with lesser offenses. White vigilantism are relics of the Ku Klux Klan periods. When a "black pastor" with a bible in hand is more threatening and dangerous than an alleged 18 year old (17 at the time) white kid with an AR-15 and want-to-be Proud Boys; is less threatening. I don’t know the verdict(s) rendered. And both juries have one black juror; however, if they were blacks defendants, you can almost assure of the outcome. Justice is only served, if it's without prejudice, fair, and base on the facts and the law.
Furthermore each trials has overtones of the former President Donald J. Trump's "Big Lie." Stay tuned..
